Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Estate Sale Employee to assist with the preparation,
organization, and execution of estate sales. This role involves sorting and staging items, pricing,
customer service, and general clean-up. Ideal candidates are dependable, professional, and
comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with sorting, cleaning, and organizing household items for sale
• Stage and arrange merchandise to create a visually appealing and accessible layout
• Research and help price items appropriately
• Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Monitor the sale floor and help prevent theft or damage
• Handle sales transactions using cash or point-of-sale systems
• Well-Versed in Social Media
Requirements:
• Prior experience in estate sales, retail, or similar environment a plus
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
• Flexibility to work weekends and varied hours based on sale schedules
• Reliable transportation to sale locations
• Trustworthy and respectful of client property
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of antiques, collectibles, or vintage items
• Experience with point-of-sale systems or mobile payment apps
• Basic research skills (e.g., using online tools to identify item values)
Work Environment:
• Estate sale settings (private homes, garages, etc.)
• Indoor/outdoor conditions with occasional exposure to dust or clutter
• Fast-paced and sometimes physically demanding
